This is a Pohutukawa Tree - native to northern NZ and considered their Christmas Tree because the bright red flowers bloom at this time of year. They are all over the city and absolutely beautiful. This picture doesn't do them justice and I will likely post more since I'm constantly admiring them.
You won't ever hear a complaint of "ANOTHER botanical photo?" from me. Keep them, and all the others, coming. It's great to follow you this way.
